In a series of tweets on Saturday, Kamath said that he thinks the only long-term fix is for as many people as possible to move away from large cities and that now is the time to do so. \u201cWhile we all work together to figure out what we can do to help in the current situation, I think the only long-term fix is for as many of us to move away from large cities. This is the answer to many of India\u2019s problems of permanent <a href=\"https:\/\/postaresume.co.in\/blog\/general\/8-of-the-biggest-challenges-faced-by-women-in-the-workplace-in-india-in-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">employment<\/a>. And now is probably the right time to work towards it,\u201d Zerodha CEO wrote on the microblogging site on zerodha careers.<\/p>\n<p>He added his firm Zerodha office is in the process of <a href=\"https:\/\/postaresume.co.in\/blog\/general\/8-of-the-biggest-challenges-faced-by-women-in-the-workplace-in-india-in-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transitioning<\/a> as many people as possible so that they can work from home permanently.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">While we all work together to figure out what we can do to help in the current situation, I think the only long-term fix is for as many of us to move away from large cities. Earlier this week, the government also reached out to top corporates to consider <a href=\"https:\/\/postaresume.co.in\/blog\/employee-welfare\/govt-disbursed-around-rs-13300-crores-thru-epfo-covid-19-advance-claim-santosh-gangwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">converting<\/a> their vacant office buildings into temporary Covid care facilities, according to news agency PTI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLarge cities are choking &amp; will continue to break down every time we&#8217;re tested, <a href=\"https:\/\/postaresume.co.in\/blog\/employee-welfare\/home-working-linked-to-rise-in-msd-meadning-musculoskeletal-disorders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COVID<\/a> today, could be water shortages, pollution, floods, etc. Moving to smaller towns &amp; villages will also create livelihoods there &amp; reduce carbon footprint. The work-from-home boom will lift productivity in the US economy by 5%, mostly because of savings in commuting time, the study says.
