He takes over from Alexis Nasard, who is stepping down after almost five years in the role.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>[the_ad id=&#8221;1630&#8243;]<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Kataria was previously the CEO of Bata India. With 24 years of experience at Unilever, Yum Brands and Vodafone in India and Europe before joining Bata India as CEO in 2017, he has been directly involved in leading businesses and powerhouse brands that command impressive consumer following and extensive global reach.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>The company said that as the CEO of Bata India Ltd, Kataria has helped drive its \u201cconsistent growth and profitability\u201d. \u201cUnder his leadership, Bata India doubled its profits driven by double-digit topline growth, and sponsored some of the most ingenious campaigns, including \u2018Surprisingly Bata\u2019, that revamped Bata\u2019s image as a more vibrant and contemporary brand, targeted at younger consumers,\u201d Bata said.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>[the_ad id=&#8221;1630&#8243;]<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Sandeep Kataria expressed, \u201cI am honoured to accept this new appointment and excited by the journey ahead of us.
